Hi guys,

I have an 09 A6 se. Just below the steering column on the left (just where the left knee would be), there is a small LED button. When I press this it flashes red and if press this again the led goes off. I was playing around with this but could not work out what it was there for or what it did. Any ideas?

Read your owners manual.

I may be wrong here but assuming you have the power adjustment on your steering column does this not turn on and off the "accessibility" function (i.e. moving the column up to gain access then putting it back to the memory setting associated with that key?)

Could be aftermarket parking sensors.

Unless mine's faulty, there's no LED there.

sounds like something aftermarket so you'd need to trace the wiring back to wherever they go, was the car ever used as a taxi/private hire? as above it could be aftermarket sensors?
