I am a new member to this forum and own a very nice but old VW Sharan.
I need help desperately, some weeks ago my grandson left my sunroof slightly open overnight. It rained hard and the next morning my feetwells were full of water.
The key no longer operated the central locking, in fact the rear doors were deadlocked and I had no way of opening them. The drivers door did lock & unlock with the key and the front passenger door unlocked & opened with the handles but not the rear doors.
I was told that I needed a new Control unit which was situated under the passenger seat, it was under water at the time.
I dried everything out and I bought a new unit [SME 95VW 15K600 BB] and fixed it onto the plugs - Nothing happened -!
I now notice that the new unit says BC but the original says BB, could this be my problem? or is there something else that needs to be repaired?
Can anyone offer any help?
