Hi Guys,

I have had an issue last week, when in 'Drive' and in town, when stopping the glow plug light would begin to flash. After a couple of miles the ECU light came on. I had read some forums and I am not sure if this is to do with the DPF filter or not? My last fill up was supermarket tesco diesel, which incidentally was the first time I have used this.

I left it for a couple of days and then on Monday morning the light had gone and glow plug stopped flashing. This is when I was driving in Sport mode, at higher revs.

Can anyone advise if this problem is to do with the DPF? If so, are diesel engine cleaners recommend? Or is it just the value diesel I filled up with.

Thanks,

Anik

thats ok, not a problem. really, you need to get it hooked upto a computer to see what code has come up. i doubt it s the fuel, more likely the dpf pressure sensor, but without a fault code any guess work is pointless. you could try a local garage or main dealer, or find a local member with vcds who can help. there is a map in the vcds section with member who own a suitable computer.

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help i have an AUDi A4 2.5L 2004 Quattro, I have had the same problem over and over again as mentioned above the Traction control light comes on and i have no power to the accelerator, if i turn off and back on i may get another 100yards but then it happens again, i have spent a fortune trying to solve this problem but no suprise it has happened again. I have had a new pedal sensor fit last week but obviously didnt do the trick, I need the car everyday for work purposes so need this rectifying ASAP, has anyone got any ideas what it could be or point me in the right direction.

kind regards Matt
