Hang on, I will just go and rub my crystal balls, alternatively you could get a code read carried out to prevent excessive rubbing leaving a sore patch...or is P2294 what you got with a generic reader? Knowing what the car is would also help.

That is the code from a code reader and sorry post was copied from the TT forum. It's a mk2 TT but it seems that fault is common on Audis

I don't have it to hand. It's the 2.0 TFSI engine

Probably a BWA engine. Check the wiring to the plug to see if it is broken. Does the code come back after it has been cleared? Is it possible anyone has unplugged the connector on top of the fuel pump? If the wiring is OK and the code keeps coming back, the next step would be to fit a new pump (if they are off of back order-again!) and don't neglect to fit a new tappet.

Wiring looks fine. Multiple people suggest it's the fuel pressure regulator. And said the pump is a last resort. Yeah code comes back after being cleared and I checked fuses they were fine.

Yes it is the regulator but you cannot buy it separately, you have to change the pump.

Went to audi and they said the same you did. Bought the pump today. Will get it fitted as soon as possible. That's my pockets lighter

One of my customers needed one on his Seat Leon Cupra (same part) and he bought it from the dealer and put it on the dash in his van to bring it in and it slid off, hit the floor an bust the regulator. I called TPS and they were on back order! The one on his car was also broken, right pain!

Yeah it seems an absolute pain. I bought it from TPS they had 2 in stock. I'm hoping this will fix it and appreciate your help and insight it's been helpful. God knows why you can't just buy the regulator

Just an update. Changed out the fuel pump and the problem has disappeared. The car drives a hell of a lot better now and had the surprise of being told it's had a stage 1 remap. Suspected that already when buying the car but was never to certain.

"Swap out" and "swap in" are another two that make my skin peel.... what's wrong with just saying "changed", why add "out" or "in"after.........:aargh4::rant:, bloody tinterweb language contamination is what it is.....:cussing:
Glad its fixed anyway......I need a drink......:alcoholic

It's hard to believe the English language went west. This irritates me too along with pop radio DJ's shouting with a twang. It's enough to make you want to let down their tires
Shame on you Doc, it's tyres not tires
