Hi all, my 2002 52 A4 b6 cabriolet has a set of headlamps that are about as good as candles when on dipped beam.
I have read in the past about the internals becoming tired and not reflecting as well as you might want.
I also have the issue of the uv coating on the plastic lenses having deteriorated.
I have the correct bulbs fitted and have carried out the sanding/polishing method of restoring the lenses but they are dulling off again and when paired with the fading internals it is becoming a tad dangerous driving in the dark.
Have any of our members had their lamps re-furbed internally or is aftermarket brand knew items a decent way to go.
The cost of new oem is not an option and I have concerns about so called plug and play swaps, so who has done what and how did it all turn out.
Many thanks

Stuart

I looked into this a few years back and found that because Cabs are not sold in huge numbers and the people who buy them tend not to do mods on them there is no aftermarket for lights etc.

I did find some in the US but they were more expensive than the originals from Audi (when postage was factored) and did not look great.

Plenty out there for Saloon etc but they won't fit. Best bet is to get a set off ebay/breakers yard.

I ended up changing mine for a used set of Xeons (ebay).

Hope this helps.

Thanks W, the only concern with breakers etc, is getting them fitted to find they are no better than mine, but thanks for the info
