03 Audi a4 glovebox niggle

Hi does anyone know how to get inside the glovebox door to lube the locking bars? The door won't shut because the plastic bars won't spring out. Passengers travel with door on their knees! Cheers

Take the end cover off the dash & that gives you more access. Also I think the hinges unbolt from underneath right at the back of the dash in the footwell.
