Hi Everyone
Sorry I don't know if i am hijacking someones post , just saying hello. I am the proud owner of VW Passat 2007 diesel sport TDI.

straight into it then, I have a few things I would like to fix like my mirrors, they look like they have been in water for a while and the indicator does not look as bright?? Can anyone help??


My other problem is alot of people are saying that all diesel models have this DPF filter?? is this true?? mine does not seem to have it even though it is late 2007??

Unless your Sport is the 170bhp version, I think you will find that the 2007 MY does not have a DPF. The tailpipes give a clue. If they are straight, it has the DPF. If they curve down towards the road, no DPF.

Not sure that I understand what your problem is with the door mirror repeaters. Have you compared them with those on other Passats? If water is getting in, maybe they need replacing?

Not sure if that's correct. I was under the impression that the straight/curved pipes thing was the difference between the 140 and 170 bhp versions.

Mine's a 140, has curved down (slightly) pipes and a dpf. Weren't the small, really downward facing pipes used on the B5? Easiest way is to check the codes on the sticker in the spare wheel well against this list:
