Parking Brake Module software update

One of things I don't like on my A6 is the dim witted park brake module, you can have the car in drive and put your foot on the accelerator and it still won't release the brake. My module is original too the car and it has never had any software updates. I have checked with etka and there is a note on my module stating it must not be used anymore! and it's been revised 4 times. Anyone had their Parking Brake Module software update or anyone know of campaign number to get the software updated done, as I have a friend who works at a dealership but need reference to perform the update as there is nothing listed about the parking brake for my car.

Also anyone know if the parking brake module has CP as it's something I've never replaced on an A6 before.

I would check your seatbelt catch as they can cause this sort of fault.

I'm not seeing any problems with seat belt warning chime and that does work. I've purchased a the revised module which has the latest firmware so hope that will do the job.

Been away from VWAF pursuing other online activities ;) .

Dunno if any use now as you bought new module but I may have an update file for your old/original module, perhaps now as you got VAG CAN PRO you'll be able to flash it! and do some more meddling! :cool: .

To save me time PM your old module VCDS scan section plus your external email and will see if I have it.

Also SVM codes IIRC are on Uberlame A6 TSB site.
