I've been parking nose in to the hedge opposite our rural cottage since I got my car in September. Went out to make sure washer fluid was winter mix, and found nor only a couple of fruit stones nibbled, but the foam trim across the back edge of the engine bay too!! Great chunks gnawed out of it grrrrr :aargh4:

Time to park somewhere different
It's one thing to have them nibble the foam sealant which is immediately replaceable, but these cars will
only give one crop of fruit each year and if the mice get it first, that is it till next year's crop.
I should look very carefully in case they have had any electrical cables or soft fluid lines. That would be really serious.

i see this all the time. not really a lot you can do, apart from getting a cat , or better still , many cats. they like the warmth i suppose and that insualtion makes a wonderful bed. people who run on veg oil often find fuel pipes chewed through, as mice love veg oil.

Yep, I guessed it was the warmth they were attracted to. Plenty of local cats, hordes of local mice! Still, I'll enjoy telling the dealer, though I suspect the replacement cost won't be so funny!

Reverse into hedge in future and laugh as you see them shoot out of the exhaust on driving off !
