Google street view

I have a facelift A7, I am trying to understand the street view option, not Google earth. Is street view possible, if so when and how. The only time I've seen it on arrival at the destination. All my data and dim etc is set up correctly.

Streetview is available on my C7. I have a data sim in the dash, and I've enabled google navigation. Streetview is there is you zoom enough, but it won't show it if the vehicle is moving.

so its only if you are stationary, is the image on your mmi screen or dis, all my data is good and i get google earth no problem. never seen full street view though

It depends where you are I think. In Liverpool town center, the yellow man is displayed. In many other places it isn't.

Zoom in as far as you can on the MMI (30 yds?) - if street view is available you see the yellow man. Zoom in again and it will show street view.

So street view is only available in certain locations, obviously Google has done our road but that still does not appear.

I would assume that it is available everywhere Street View is. It works sitting on my driveway.

Not sure why i can't get it, and settings I need to change or do I just zoom in fully

Isn't there something in the manual about an option "Additional Info" needing to be selected in order to see Streetview images? i might have got that wrong.

I can't get street view to show either - what did you do to figure it out tony. Is there another setting in Additional info?

On the non FL, the Street View works as:

- it's available only if the car is fully stationary.
- you have to press the main MMI button to enter the NAV's pop up menu, go to the zoom, press the main button again,
- now you will see the four corner of the touchpad illuminated, so you can move the map with your fingers anywhere,
- NOW zoom in to the maximum zoom (30 yards/meters) and you will see a small yellow man right to the 30m,
- NOW try to zoom more, AND NOW the Street View will appear (while loading, the yellow man will appear in a circle)
- now you will see the Street Views. If it works, then you can turn around the view with your fingers on the touchpad, and can zoom in/out with the main MMI button

AT. Thanks, that worked. I didn't realise you had the press the main MMI button before zooming.
