Boot width query ?? mk6 golf estate?

Hi Everyone,

Firstly I`d like to say hello as ive just joined the forum:D.

Is there any chance a kind soul out there knows the exact useable boot width for a dog-cage in a mk6 golf estate?
I have`nt purchased a golf yet but am thinking of getting the wife one in the near future.

I am thinking of purchasing a good quality cage off Ebay that is 106cm wide,probably a bit daft buying the cage before the car but these particular cages dont become available 2nd hand very often and I would probably buy it if it fits.

Anyway dont want to ramble on,if anyone could let me know asap please that would be great:confused:

P.S the cage finishes in about 3 hours!!:p

Should be able to find the dimensions on the old brochures VW list http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/used/old-brochure

Thankyou for the quick reply,sadly it looks like the cage is about 5cm to wide I think according to the technical data page:(

I just use the VW dog guard/boot partition as it saves taking the cage in/out repeatedly when the dog's not in the back.
Held out on eBay and got it for a steal.
