Stearing Whining Noise

Hi All!

This is my first thread. My apologies if this has been raised before. I cannot find an existing related thread.

We were getting a grinding / whining noise when the stearing was turned to the left. It was suggested that this was caused by the Offside CV Joint. On inspection, I found that one of the gaitors - on the offside - had split. I have replaced the whole CV joint. Yet the noise still persists. Although nolonger as harsh.

Any advice please folks? Many thanks in advance.

The whining noise you describe may be power steering related
Check the power steering fluid level first,and if it needs topping up make sure to use the correct type for your model.
