I have a 2011 A4 2.0 TDI Tehnic. Bought second hand at 12months old with 12000 miles on the clock. Up-to this year I was quite happy with the vehicle, however in May the car suffered a complete clutch failure. By then it had only covered 22000 miles. It was still under the manufacturers guarantee and the car was repaired by my local Audi garage at no cost to myself.
In November this year following a Winter Health Check by the Audi Garage oil leakage was discovered coming from the bell housing area. The gearbox was removed and the technician found that that the inner differential oil seal was leaking causing damage to the flywheel, clutch etc. At this stage my car had only done 24000 miles but was just out of warranty. Audi agreed to cover the cost of the parts £1500) but not the cost of the labour (£1000).
Are these faults common on this model? It would be interesting to know if other A4 owners have suffered similar faults.
As a footnote this is my 5th Audi car and will probably be my last.
