Dropped my car off this morning to investigate DAB and FM loss with heated rear screen and they had a new A6
Small differences I suppose but overall does not take anything away from the pre facelift model

Poor pics - sorry
Also really don't like the merc style exhaust trim or chrome bar across the boot

I think the front works much better than the back, but it wouldn't be enough to put me off one when it comes to upgrade time.

it looked like an sline spec but had half leather, but colour DIS so assume it had the technology pack
Also seemed to be on 19's
Also like the brushed trim on the console rather than the black inlays of the BE

The chrome bar on the boot may not appeal to everyone but I miss it on my C7 having had it on the C6. It serves a practical purpose of protecting the top of the bumper from getting scratched when putting things (especially if they are heavy) in and out of the boot.

Obviously need to get my eyes tested! Thought it was on the top of the bumper but looking again realise it isn't, just some cosmetic trim. Presume on the BE it will be deleted as it will look very odd having a black piece of trim there. Still wish they would put some sort of protection on the top of the bumper on the Avant to make it less prone to being scratched.

Hmm. I'm not sure about it. The front has too much chrome, and I don't like the exhausts. The new lights look cool though.

Agree about the chrome - this one looks like it has a cattle grid stuck to its nose.

With you on that..... A backwards step into the stick on shiny plastic Halfords look.
Just needs these wheel arch additions to complete the look.... http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/12/04/29f29268166ef00abb6e7caa99333e46.jpg

No chrome on my Black Edition (front grille or tailgate). Agree with the comments disliking the exhaust tips. When you stand behind the car you can look down the pipe and see fresh air through to the rear arch.

Haha....well I'm seriously considering upgrading my current C7 and I think you have just gone and bought a new colour choice to the table. :s I was thinking ibis white or Dakota grey but now well...this carat beige colour makes the car look very good indeed!l I think it gives the car that elegant look...

What a pointless post, thanks for that. I have still not seen a picture of a black edition facelift anywhere on the net, only the graphic on the configurator. What I'm really looking for is a pic with the rs6 style twin spoke alloys that can be chosen in place of the almost ubiquitous rotor design.

I assume you mean these wheels with this type of dechroming... Both pics of RS6s but it's all I could fine.... Does look sweet and I personally prefer these wheels. The std BE wheels are far too common now.

Yes that's the one (shown on the White rs6), but would like to see these on a UK facelifted A6 black edition. My local dealer has the FL, but not in BE trim. Anyone seen a BE FL in the showroom yet? Not that I've got long to wait, my order arrives mid Jan.
Just thought i would add a few pics people might be interested in from my facelift.

Indeed it does look nice... if that colour had been available as one of the metallics I might well have chosen it instead of Glacier white when I ordered my allroad.
So... apart from the wheels (which I think were available as an option) the allroad FL is unchanged.... front grill looks the same as mine, exhausts look the same...
Also looks like german spec does not get adaptive Xenons 'cos it still has front fog lights.

I like your rims a lot A6S. Sporty but at the same elegant which is more befitting of a large, prestige exec saloon. The car looks fantastic.

It was a launch car for the dealer so it had to look good. You can't spec that exact car from Audi ;)

I was at the dealers today. They had a facelift car in the showroom earlier apparently, but it's been sold and gone already. The salesmen are all driving A6's though, and some have the facelift.
Have to say though, the new TT looks good and I love the fully digital dashboard of Audi Virtual Cockpit.

To be honest, it probably wouldn't have been my first choice but I could get it quick as it was already scheduled to be built with the spec I wanted (Tech pack, heated seats and folding mirrors). I also got quite a good deal (I think!)
I've got a space grey 5 series just now so the Tornado grey will be a change as it is a bit lighter. It wasn't ideal that I couldn't see one in the colour though.
Last night I eventually found a couple of pics in the correct colour, just not the exact car. Just think of these 2 combined!

Good find! I reckon it's a decent colour choice, maybe not as blingy as the white or black, but should suit my 'understated' persona, and certainly a change from the daytona

I really like that colour
also nL the centre console buttons appear silver around the MMI centre knob
I think the rear suits some colours and not others with exhaust being integrated to the bumper - still think Rota's fit the A6 better than the newer style due to the bold lines

Collected my new car on Friday. First impressions :
S-tronic v. multitronic is like chalk and cheese.
The LED headlights are really good - the difference is like when I changed from normal headlights to bi-xenon
The cornering lights are now LED rather than tungsten in the pre-facelift C7
Front indicators are now LED strips
The progressive rear indicators are really cool
The new instrument cluster full colour map display is really good
My previous car didn't have the Tech Pack Advanced, so I don't know if this is only on the FL, but the way it reads out texts, emails, Twitter etc. is good
I can connect my phone to the AMI without any special cables other than the normal phone USB leads
4-zone climate control now standard
And of course, most importantly - aluminium inserts in the pedals ;)
I've attached a few pics.

In 90% of cases I know it's the owners of the smaller engines that don't have them fitted, so whenever I see a car without badges I assume it's the runt of the litter..in the case of A6 the 2.0....even though there's no engine size designation. Does size REALLY matter?? Lol
So it was with surprise when I bought my C6 that the original owner didn't have the badges fitted, but had a boot spoiler added? However with that and my added quad pipes I do get Beemer drivers trying to race me thinking it's an R or RS...just let them go on their merry way :D
PS: Debadging indicates they were fitted and then removed.

That said I read a while ago that debadging in Germany was popular amongst executives as they did not want to make it obvious to the workforce that they drove more powerful (and expensive) versions of the cars they drove

Hi,
Can anyone with the Facelift car please post their MMI and Nav database version? Specifically anyone with the MMI Navigation Plus / Technology Pack options.
@A6S, @Rower1978, @Goatistuta, @ch_79, etc.
Thanks!
Can do if you let me know how I do it?

Assuming it's in the same place as pre-facelift... go to the Setup MMI option and scroll all the way to the bottom.
See here (http://www.edwardb.co.uk/audi/mmi/software_update.jpg)for an example on my pre-facelift car.

Thanks :).
That's now two facelift cars I've seen the MMI version Info for. (The other was VW AUDI Forum (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=26535&d=1419360747)).
Software versions:
MHI2_ER_AUG11_P0031
MHI2_ER_AUG11_P0034
Navigation Database Full versions:
V03959801ES 0086 ECE 2014/2015
V03959801ET 0105 ECE 2015

The version numbering difference (vs pre-FL) suggests that the FL firmware cannot use used on pre-FL cars. Just a guess. (Shame!)

At least the numbering is *so* different that we won't accidently mix it up with pre-facelift versions!
