I am in need of some advice please .
Last week I traded my van for a 52 plate a4 tdi se auto v6 the car was fine when I picked it up from Wolverhampton and came home to Bradford with no issues apart from service light on & brake warning light .
It drove fine and I was quite impressed with my new purchase
2 days later in the morning , it started fine , I was about to set off , and it died .
it then did that a few times , then would not start at all ,
i then got a lift to work , came home that night and it started fine and seamed ok , off I went & all was fine ,
no lights on dash .
Went in shop . Then it would not start at all , AA came out and when he tried it , it fired up no prob , he couldn't find any thing wrong . It then got me home ok .
In the morn it started then stopped after about 2 mins .
AA came back out found no codes on computer , but did find out it was full of red Diesil !
since then I have had the tank drained , fuel filter changed , glow plugs changed . Battery in key . all new fuel flushed thro and new pump relay
now has flashing glow plug light & esp light is on . Fault code 01376 engine speed signal for injection pump .
It seams the pump is faulty
but am confused why it will now start fine from cold and run for about 25 mins before it cuts out
any help would or advice would be a real help before I commit to changing the pump
