Rotors or RS6 type 5 spoke alloys? I've gone for the RS6 style, love the rotors but feel they are getting too common now. Thoughts?!

Same here, shame the Rotors are on nearly every model of Audi now. I have ordered the twin 5 spokes like you which I'm sure will look equally as good and help distinguish the FL

RS6 style every time for me.

I would have had the RS6 style if they were an option when I bought in July. Now I hope everyone goes for them to make my rotors less common!

RS6 for me too! I'm a bit tired of common sight of rotors. Have seen the 5 twin spoke Matt alloys and that's what I've opted for, they look better IMO, having seen them in the flesh.

Can anyone confirm whether the RS6 style 5 spoke titanium alloys as an option on the BE A6 are painted matt black on the interior? I know the actual RS6 alloys are painted gloss black on the interior. I only ask because gloss is mentioned on the description for this wheel on the configurator. Much prefer the matt look, so hoping this is the case for the BE 5 spoke titanium alloy.

from the brochure Exactly my point - what does 'gloss turned finish' refer to? The real RS6 wheel has gloss black all over. I had assumed the A6 BE option was matt black, but the inclusion of 'gloss turned finish' has confused me. Can anyone confirm?

Guessing the 'turned gloss finished' bits are the shiny bare alloy details?

I have ordered the 20” x 8.5J ‘5-twin spoke’ design alloy wheels in matt titanium look, gloss turned finish with 255/45 R20 tyres on my Glacier White Car, not seen them in the flesh but looked at loads of pics like the ones below.

Rotors really are old hat now even though they where cool in there day!

That's about the best photo I have seen so far, pretty much as I had expected. Hope this answers Rower1978s question?

I agree, they look absolutely amazing (who would choose Rotors over these??!!), but I had it in my head they would be 'blacker' than this? They certainly do when you spec them on the configurator. However, if they are like this I will be very happy!

Still love the Rotors though - they will be an all time classic design I reckon. Shame they're everywhere. Onwards with the twin 5 spokes!!!

Just ordered my BE Avant with the 5 twin spokes too! I was a bit undecided until I went to a show room and saw an A1 with rotors! They are just too ubiquitous now. Not many photos of A6 avants with the twin spokes as an option so the photos on here have been invaluable.

I am also just wondering whether to opt for the model and engine designation deletion from the boot. I always think it looks a bit messy having loads of numbers and letters all over it. Who really needs to know it's a Tdi etc.?!

I agree, it just looks, neater somewhat.

I've gone with Rotors. Nor too many about on the A6 and look great on the Ibis Black Edition. Its a personal thing - both option look pretty cool.

Went with the 5 spokes on my Ibis BE and glad I did. Looks spectacular. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/08/f62eb3a636506d1a7095142e56c6e03d.jpg

Y'know, I'm not a fan of massive alloys for the sake of massive alloys on what is still a 2 tonne luxury saloon rather than a sports car.......but these look gorgeous. If I were ditching the antique C6 right now I'd be going for these....My lottery funded RS6 has theses installed. :beerchug:

The BE rotors have always looked (to me, only my opinion, of course :booty:) overly contrived and inappropriately bling.

And nothing wrong with a bit of bling ;) I love my rotors, especially against the red, but must admit Rowers ride look awesome. Very nice sir!

The rotors are also very easy to clean. Which for a lazy begger like me is ideal :)

You, of course, make a very good point.......easy clean wheels have a lot going for them. And, to be fair, because of their colour I've never actually seen a pair of rotors that looked grimy. They carry real life very well.

I ordered an Audi A6 Avant Ultra Black Edition in January, I went for Daytona Grey and went for the 20" twin spokes in Aluminium, the ones that look like RS6 alloys. I didn't like the rotor arm ones. I should be picking my car up at the end of the month!

I love the Ibis white picture with the 20" titanium twin spokes…… not my wheels I know, but still looks good!

I've recently ordered the A6 Black Edition Avant in Brilliant Black, and had chosen the Rotor Alloys but I'm thinking I might change to the PJQ 20" titanium alloys now! I saw an RS6 in black earlier today with the 21" 5 twin spoke alloys and it looked fab. Then again, an RS6 is never going to look too shabby is it!

I'm just hoping I'm not too late to change the alloy spec now...

You can change your order right up until you're given your build week. Highly recommend the titanium 5 spoke, they look amazing. Just paranoid I'm going to kerb them, but done 4k miles so far and all good!
