I have got a 2008 Highline estate and it keeps steaming up, go for a drive, park it and an hour later its steamed up all the windows, in my younger days with my Mk3 Cortina i would be looking for a hole in the floor but this car is solid, any thoughts anyone?.

Have you checked the re-circulation button? It lets you choose if you want recirculated air in the car or air fed from the outside. This is the most common cause of this problem. It looks like a circle of arrows on you heater control unit.

This is caused by the current high humidity and lower air temps in the atmosphere around Britain. You could try shutting the airflow off to the outside by using the recirculating switch when you park up, along with all inside vents. If you use it when driving it will make matters worse. To clear it off in the car when driving use the air con with heat on as well. Wet clothing and passengers won't help either as the moisture drying off from clothing, through body heat and car heat, will stay in the cars interior space and reform as vapour on the windows. Your pollen filter may be wet and using heating may make this give off vapour. try getting the car hot inside for a while and see if it helps. I think you will find that this problem will get less over the next week as the weather changes. All cars will do this under certain weather conditions. Unlikely will be coolant leaks in the inside of the car which will be evident through the header tank level.
