Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me find the cause of the epc light coming on when I'm driving, this only happens occasionally but when it does happen, the car loses power and cannot accelerate, goes off after a few seconds but comes back on intermittently. Please help!!!!!!

Have you had it scanned by a VW/Audi specialist?

No I haven't, was hoping someone may have an idea what it could be so I could check it out myself before it gets expensive

It could be anything. On a modern car you simply can't guess whats wrong :).

it could be the maf, so change that first, if that doesn't solve it then replace the coolant temp sensor. if that doesn't work then replace all the coil packs as it could be them, if thats doesn't work then replace the throttle body, then replace the fuel pump, then the cam sensor, then i would try a new set of injectors, a lambda sensor and a cat. if the epc light is still on then sorry, i am out of ideas and you will need to get a code readout, but thats expensive , so avoid that at all costs.
