Hi all
I've search all the audi forums and can't find anything the same,
I've done a few things with this car so far Chain tensioner, cambelt kit, Rear crank seal, Clutch,Clutch Master cylinder, rad, thermostat, ECM relay 30,
It's been running smooth since I've done all this and now,
I'm stuck Crank sensor or cam sensor
No fault codes,
My code reader is memoscan with vag 5053 on it it can do basic setting and some of the other vag stuff, just don't know how just yet
First thing it won't fire as it was, when it does fire up it will run on possibly 2/3 cylinders for around 2 - 5 mins as soon as it ticks over smooth and you could drive it all day and restart anytime until the morning also if you touch the throttle before it ticks over normally it wont start for a while, can't turn over to long before it spins fast which I've found out is fuel washing the oil away from the rings, I've replaced the battery and I have been putting my van to it aswell so has a back up to get it running,
I've cleaned both crank and cam sensors checked earths checked the ECM box for damp, under the battery for water.
I'm basing the fault on the crank sensor as the problem I had on my van it did the same, It would bump first time and run normally all day and restart on the key all day till the morning
how do I clean and realign the throttle body
Thanks for any help
