Audi A4 B6 2.5tdi quattro propshaft centre bearing

Hi,

centre bearing gone on my engine to back diff propshaft. audi dont sell bearings only complete propshafts. new bearings are available on ebay but im unsure of whether the propshaft can be split for the bearing to be slid on? anybody with any clue?

99% sure you can fit the bearing. Adamss24 will be ya man though.

Try searching for a propshaft repair specialist, they do exsist. They will be cheaper than a full prop.

Different brand but Fritz bits, the bmw guys out in the west country, have made hybrid props for friends of mine. Pretty sure you'll find someone

You can buy a propshaft bearing from 034 Motorsport in the states or you can buy a BMW center bearing and have that fitted. The propshaft can be split in the middle but it's not an easy job as the U Joint will be most likely seized...

hi adams, how do you split the u joint? cant seem to get anywhere with it? do you have to remove it from back diff or gearbox and then seperate or what?
