Hi.
Apologies if this has been asked before but I'm wondering when the Daytona grey colour was introduced to the A4?
What is the earliest year model to come in this colour?

Thanks in advance

First time I can find it as a standard colour in a brochure is November 2011 (and on S-line and Black edition only).

From memory first car that had this was the original RS6.

I'd guess this would have been ordered as an exclusive colour from "the complete Audi range" as they called it. So rare.

We have it on our 2010 Audi A1 and its a great colour, and my new A3 is also coming in this.

Thanks for the responses guys. I don't suppose anyone knows where I could locate a 2009,2010 or 2011 A4 model in this colour?
Have searched online but all seem to be 2012 or newer. Trying to find one a bit older to keep cost down.
Thanks again for any help.

To add to my earlier post... The first brochure listed it was November 2011 (Version 6.4). I also have the previous one in August 2011 (Version 6.3) which does not list it so its likely that the colour was introduced on the A4 in November 2011 and it would take until early 2012 for cars to be delivered.

So other than asking Mell to sell you his :D I think you will be very lucky to find any car that is not 2012 or later.

Prior to introducing Daytona the previous S line only colours were Misano Red and Monza Silver. Monza Silver was dropped to make way for Daytona.

Ah I see that would explain the difficulty in finding any pre-2012 then. Thanks for the info.
May have to look at lava grey instead if it's not too black-like.

Just sold my Lava Grey A4 (2010) after 3 years and I can confirm its a great colour but it pretty close to black. Has a sort of blue fleck in it in the sun. Its also a pretty rare colour I think.

Thanks for that dts. Always good to get first hand experiences. I haven't seen the lava up close in person - only in photos online or cars whizzing past me. I think I'll call into an Audi showroom and compare the various shades for myself. I like the darker metallic greys but am just a bit wary that the lava might be just a shade too dark for me.
Cheers for that anyway.

PS (I'm based in Ireland so am not too sure on this) -> apart from autotrader.co.uk - are there are any other UK websites that you would recommend that would have a good selection of used Audi cars?
A4s over here are a rip off and the choice of models is far less than in the Uk so I'm planning on importing one. Even with the vehicle import tax I'd have to pay it still works out better value.

I normally look at autotrader, pistonheads and the Audi UK used car search. I actually found my last A4 on pistonheads (Used Cars for sale with PistonHeads (http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars)) as one of my local Audi dealers posted on there first before autotrader. The autotrader site lets you set up alerts, the Audi site used to but seems to have been hidden/removed.
