So have read many of the threads on this and it seems VCDS is the only way to go. I have seen one thread tho where a guy put increasingly thicker spacers in the caliper as he opened and closed the electronic brake. This essentially made the brake wind back to the outer limit normally and all was well afterwards
Any thoughts

thoughts are, do it properly or let someone who knows what they are doing do it. mind you, its only brakes, why not have a go, its not as if they matter.

You don't need vcds, you just need to know how to do it. You certainly don't use spacers
