Non-techy A4 owner with an intermittent front headlamp problem. Appears to be front passenger side headlamp that flickers on and off unpredictably with no obvious solution. I thought that turning the engine on/off helped but this isnt a viable solution on most journeys. Local non-dealer Bosch garage hasnt found any faults on testing and no warning lamps are illuminated. Bulbs have been changed. I'm no longer keen to drive as its clear that oncoming drivers and drivers in front of me think I'm flashing them and I'm an obvious target to be pulled over. Had a look online and others have reported the same thing, particularly the left headlamp. Any help or advice most welcome. Thanks

my car is exactly the same 2005 A4 S-line TFS quatro only difference is that my problem is on the drivers side - head light flickering intermittently. The garage I use have scanned it and can find no faults. someone on here must know, please help much appreciated

I suggest cleaning the contacts in the bulb holder. These can overheat and burn.I have had to chop one out and replace .Check the fuse first
