Fm Radio Interference when rear screen heater on.

I am unable to get any FM radio reception when the rear window heater is on.

Is this normal for a 07 TDI sport .

wouldn't of thought that was normal,

make use of your warranty and get it looked at.

I was under the impression that the radio aerial is in the same piece of glass, which may be the root of the problem.

Sounds like a problem with one of the shunts used to prevent back-feeding voltages in the screen aerial assembly. Take it back to VW, they will sort it out.

My FM aerial is located in the loadbay side window on the driver's side on the estate version. It is 2 orange diagonal strips through the glass.

Had the radio on FM this morning and used the rear demister for the first time! no problems so far.
