Hi im new to this forum. . Iv had a problem with my heating system for a while now on my 03 a4..I can't turn off the econ light. I know it's on permanently because the gas has leaked out of the air con, im just wondering is there any easy solution to turn this off.. Also im having trouble bleeding the system after a burst heater hose, , I can get coolent out of the bleeding hole with the heater off , but once I turn the heat full on I can't get any coolent out of the bleeding hole..

Change your thermostat and get the air con refilled by a specialist so he can check fir leaks

Yes the way your doing it you should get a steady flow from the bleeder hole when the car up to temp and watch the hole don't think you need to put heaters on
do you get heat from your heaters?

Econ indicates your low gas pressure, nothing to do with the heat, your problem is almost certainly the heater matrix,a common problem it loses its ability to transfer heat, many people have tried flushing with various remedies to no avail, change it,the only caveat to that is check your heat flap by the clutch pedal make sure its opening demanding heat.

It looks like it's always been there and not just a break in the casing as I first thought
