hi got a audi a4 b6

my key stopped working central locking not opening or closing when i put the key in the door lock less then half the key goes in tried wd40 still wont go in all the way
so im using my spare key thats works fine.

i checked the battery even put new one in still dont work opning the central locking.


how do i reprgram the key to the car??

i tried the key in ignition unlock lock sequnce it dont work i have full vcds but dont know how to program the key.

id the same problem. every so often i went to press lock on the fob and nothing. i just put the key in the ignition / switch ignition on and press the unlock button on fob a few times/ take the key out of ignition press lock and back to normal. hope you have it sorted.

beaten to it.....

only thing to add is that it happens when either the battery is disconnected or the convenience module loses power. Would do a scan to see if it was.
