I am having a problem with my drivers door , not locking unless you use the key , the light buzzer ain't working , it's not showing on the dash when the door is open and interior light dosnt work on that door , I think it's the locking module anybody know the part number or where I can find it , it's 2003 1.9 TDI 130 .
Cheers Les

Check the wires in the rubber sleeve first as these are prone to breaking and will cause the issues you are having, simply pull back from the car side and check wires repair as required

The wires are pretty ******* been repaired a few times but everything works apart from you have to use key to lock drivers door , the interior light dash display and buzzer have just gone off .

Hi,
the logic is all contained in the window motor so I would look at that first (since the lock, door open signal etc are not working).
Details are:
Accentuator is: 402 837 016
Window module is: 8e2 802 E
W.

had this problem in my own car and as above has stated. the rubber sleeve can be a possible query. i had to carefully slice the rubber sleeve to find someone had been already had a problem down the line. the wires had been cut in the middle of the sleeve and why i dont know they had soldered the wires back together. so everytime the door is opened and closed the solder eventually gives way causing a malfuction. hope this helps

When I had same issue it was not the cable but the connector to the A post. Somehow water got in it and some pins got rotten. I've fixed it with niddle pushed in from behind connector leaving enought on both side so that one side looks like pin and the other side ok to solder the wire on.

I recon it's the wires , the lights in the window switches went off and the interior light and door stuff came on but when I nipped the wires again they came on and the door stuff went off , I am trying to source a second hand harness but I will probs have to buy a new harness they are only about £120 .
I also have this problem. I shall be interested to hear how you get on changing the harness.
