I have decided to refit my Road Angel compact to the A6. On the Z4M I have the sat nav hacked and camera locations installed so it gives visual and audible warnings on the screen. I feel exposed when driving the A6 as have neither.

On the A6 I was hoping you could at least upload multiple 'favourites' to the sat nav so the locations would be displayed, but this seems to be limited to just the newer A3's at present. The Road Angel tucks nicely at the base of the A pillar, just on the corner of the speaker grille, but not blocking it. I need to find a convenient ignition live source to then wire a 12v to 5v adaptor. Anyone else done this under the steering column?

I used a fuse tap on the nearside fuse panel for a dash cam, but I’m sure there was at least one ignition live on the drivers side too.

Easiest and safest way.

Yes, decided fuse tap is best way, the only ignition live source I can find is the starter at present. However in a moment of stupidity I wired the cigarette lighter socket incorrectly, despite checking with a multi meter several times, I must have been distracted. Corrected it and replaced fuse in power adaptor, and all seemed fine, but teh Road Angel has now died. Bit annoying, but my own fault!
