If the eBay sell is Okzam I'd personally avoid, they didn't honour the warranty on one I purchased and then threatened VWAF with legal action if we didn't remove my feedback post.

Get a quote from a dealership/TPS before you buy from eBay, you'll often find they aren't as expensive as you think.

German auto parts £29 with two year warranty might just go for the eBay one saving is massive also should I leave the window up or down when replacing

I have to admit that I bought an eBay special (£20 from autopartsdirect) last week for my drivers door. Fitted it at the weekend - took me an hour & 40 minutes. No problems. Followed the write up on audizine.com. Went together well. Don't know if what I had in the door was a genuine article or not but the new one appeared to have heavier cables. Runs smoothly enough..... Just need to see how it lasts.

Got to admit It is a big saving from buying the genuine one I was thing about buying an eBay one but then I thought with the winter on its way didn't really want to get stuck with the window down then having to replace again in the freezing weather

Fitted it today took me about 1 hour 20 old unit in there was a genuine one but it did look like it was changed before sometime .The wires on the old unit were frayed but luckily not broken I stopped using the window when I heard the scraping noise here a pic of the old unit

Good job, you've probably saved yourself a few hundred quid there ;)
