Hi Guys, I'm new to your forum and have a problem with my central locking. My story goes like this: I bought my 2003 allroad with 113k miles
back Feb 2014 drove the 150 miles home with no problems and everything working on the car. The car was left on my drive for a few months starting it up now and again but it became evident that the car needed a new battery. So I purchased a new one identical to the one on the car. My problems started when fitting the new battery to the car. We took it for a drive after and everything was working however when we got home and tried to lock the car with the key fob nothing happened. The central locking isn't working at all. The car was booked in at the local Audi dealer for what I thought was simple reprogramming. I was told it my not be has simply as that, so they tried to reprogram it and no success. So the batteries in the remote were checked and they where ok. Next thing to check was the comfort control module. That ended up being replaced but still nothing! So now they think it's the ariel/receiver for the remote in the car so this is now on order. I really can't believe that by changing a car battery it can cause such a problem!
Has anyone else come across this before and have the answer to this problem? I would be very grateful!
