Hi all,
I need to replace the 3rd injector on the mrs a4 b6 2.5 tdi , I can see the normal route is to just buy a new or second hand replacement,
However, does anywhere refurbish them for less?
Anyone have any knowledge of this?
My thinking is that you can buy a second hand replacement that may fail just the same after a short while, where as a refurb unit will have a brand new lift sensor...?
Thanks in advance,

Whats the diagnosis on replacing the injector? Did you have a fault code?

Thanks for the reply, the code is:
"Fault found, 00542 - needle lift sensor (G80), 30-10 - open or short plus intermittent"

I don't think i ever heard of refurbished ones so far ! It's either 2nd hand or new i'm afraid. If you need one, i have a couple of sets of injectors at the garage...

If you have a multi meter, check ohms across pins, 100-110 Ohms.

Hey bro. I have the same car. Contemplating changing my injectors too. How much are you looking for new ones and where are you going for them? Sorry New to Audi s and diesels

Hi,
I ended up getting a full set from eBay for £180 delivered,
You need to call Audi and ask to speak to the parts department, then ask "what are the part numbers for your injectors", (there will be two numbers, one for the injector with a sensor, and a second part number for the other 5 normal injectors)
Then just search ebay using the part numbers,
If you were to buy new injectors from Audi you would be looking at about £350 for the injector with sensor, and slightly less for each of the other 5, (Silly money!)
Hope that helps,
million

180 for the set, new? Sounds good to me! Do you happen to know anything about up rated injectors by chance? I want to take mine to around 250 hp then later 300 hp. Thanks for taking the time to reply too mate

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I paid £180 for a second hand set not new,
As for uprated injectors I think you may have to replace the fuel pump for a higher pressure one if your thinking of bigger injectors, (would be fun though!) haha,
