Good evening, hopefully someone can help me :)

Had my car stored for just under 2 years - 2003 s4

Battery consequently failed and I have replaced it.. Instrument cluster sort of works.. No chimes.. No lights when vehicle lights are on, no speedo and no revs... Fuel and temp are perfect so is the message centre

Radio is also saying "safe"

I have done a output test on vagcom and the dials all sweep, coms with the cluster is perfect.. Only fault code other than low voltage was 0576 plausible signal

There are other faults that where there before relating to the convenience module.. And one new one relating to steering angle sensor

Any ideas where to start?

Thanks :)

Radio requires the the code, it should be in the handbook. Steering angle should reset after a short drive and a few turns of the steering wheel lock to lock.

Thanks, rooted out the manual and entered the code.. That's sorted :)

Is the interior of the car damp after sitting? If your aircon works get it running (if not get a domestic dehumidifier) & get the car dried out. If there's moisture in the dash it could potentially cause all sorts of problems.

It was damp yeah, I had been getting strange fault codes from the convenience module before i laid it up, expected it to be full of water in the usual place.. Carpet up,
Bone dry and no corrosion damage to wiring either at the module or the harness just higher up...

Booked in with Audi on Friday now.. Fingers crossed

Update...

Instrument cluster is audi's diagnosis.. £1092 to replace it - joy of joys!

I did however get a recall done on the coils whilst it was in FOC!

Send the dashpod to BBA Reman for repair, cheaper than Audi.
