Hello. This is my first attempt at this forum. I replaced the electric window regulator panel on the driver’s door, which involved removing the outer door handle and the door latch/lock completely. After refitting it all everything worked and the door opened normally from inside and outside. I then locked it while I went off to get a 10mm socket to tighten the two glass clamps. When I then tried to unlock it I could not open the door from inside or out. The central locking operates the lock button which appears to go up and down normally. The key also operates the lock button which seems to go up and down normally! I cannot open the door from inside or out, even though the action of the inside handle and outside handle feels normal. Having to get in and out of the passenger door to use the car is a bit of a pain. I cannot get to the two splined bolts that hold the latch mechanism on the rear edge of the door because of the shape of the door pillar and I can't remove the inner panel as I can't open the door. I've tried lying across the seats and pushing with my feet while someone works the outside handle too. Any ideas, short of using an angle grinder - I can't even get to the door hinge pins.
