Hello brand new to this forum and thought this to be the best place to ask. been here few times as a none member and seen some pretty good advise
I have a audi a4 2002 (B6 )
my isue is I have no fob for the car key, that i got from a lock smith when lost keys.
and when i took the car and key to another key code-in guy to get a new fob he said
that the new remote wont talk to the comfort control unit (the door lock ecu)
I need to fix the comfort control unit first
my question is ....I need to find where the comfort control unit is located in the audi a4, saloon (B6), I was told that it may have loose wires or may need testing
1. I would like to know where it is
2. any ideas on how to test the unit - any diagram of wiring etc would be even better
anything you have on the subject would be very much appreciated :Blush2:

It is under the front passenger seat. If the carpet around it is wet then you have the blocked plenum drain fault which can lead to problems with the convenience module.... Do a search for Plenum on the forum and you will get loads of hits
