Hello All!

I am new to this forum and I am also new to AUDI. I have recently bought a second hand 2002, A6 Avant Multitronic 2.4

The car is beautiful, starts perfectly everytime, interior clean, engine clean, does not seem to have ever been involved in an accident, moves like a dream no rattles that would give me sleepless nights.

The problem however is that everytime the car is parked. it leaves a puddle of water, is this a problem I should worry hugely about?

The whole time I have had the climate control on. I will try moving around without switching it on, so that I can see if there's any difference.

Apologies if this has been answered somewhere before! I am still finding my way through this forum!

Thanks

My old Renault used to do that when the AC had been on, basically it was just water that has been condensed from the cabin.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi If the weather is very humid when using the AC the condencer will drip water down I think there is a tube .On my A4 the poddle will end up underneath around the back of the engine.

I've had A/C on 5 different cars.. all of which leave small puddles on the driveway after using the AC.

When I got my S6 I was shocked at the amount of water left on my driveway!

The first time I saw it, I thought I had a coolant leak! Having tasted it (which was probably a bit stupid in retrospect!) I was relieved to find out it was just pure water.

Thank you all for your response. Very Much Appreciated! I can sleep peacefully now knowing that my shiny second hand car is not a dud!

And I did drive around yesterday with the climate control off and of course "no puddles"

Thank You Very Much!
