Why?

On my 2012 A6 (owned since Jan 2014), I have just had a look at the service indicator and it is somewhat confusing..the previous owner had it on long-life Servicing (last long-life service Dec 2013 at 25k, it is now on 31k), but will soon be changing to fixed servicing and the current reading is Oil Service 1100 miles/158 days, Major Service 11000 miles/188 days...now its going in for an Oil Service in the next few weeks (as we are going away on holiday), but I don't want to be doing a major service a month or even 5 months after that...I want to have the interim service one year and the major service a year later (9000/19000 miles respectively). will having the Oil service alter the days listed on the major service indicator...clearly I am not going to be doing 10000 miles in a month or so or even 6 months as I have done about 6k in 6 months and that is pretty high miles for me (my average is less than 10k pa, hence the change to fixed servicing). Anyway my question is really why are the days so close together? and will the Inspection Service still be due in 188 days?

Well, noone seems to know. I had the oil service to day and it now says Oil Service 19000/730 days, but Service 19000/185 days..does this mean I am going to have to have a major service in just 6 months time?

edit:

Audi have just explianed the the Service indicator is simply the next service due, it doesn't designate which one. In my case it will be the Brake Fluid Service and not the Inspection Service.
