What Alarm/immobiliser is fitted?

Audi A4 06 S-line, does anyone know what type o alarm/immobiliser is fitted as standard by Audi? It's a BRE engine.

No. The back battery leaks and corrodes the circuit board.

The alarm on my dad's 2005 Audi went off for the 1st time in the early hours of last Friday and again an hour later. It's not done it since but it's a 2005 so I guess it could be the start of the internal batteries reaching the end of their life. I've seen some posts on how to gain access to the siren unit on the B6 Audi, is it the same for the B7?

Don't assume its the battery.
Scan the car and check what set the alarm off.

It's not done it since but is due a service next month so told him to mention it and get them to scan it, assuming it stays quiet till then.
