So, for anyone who's interested, here's a pic of my B8 (and the fat end of the wife's Ibiza).

Rare colour is the old 'LY5Q' - Sepang Blue by all accounts. I certainly haven't seen another A4 in this colour. I believe it's actually a TT/S5/RS5 colour and Audi don't do a touch-up pen for it, which is strange....

Anyways, a couple of you asked for pics when I first moved over from the B6 Forum back in January, so here you go....

Thanks for the comments all. When I was in the market for a B8 it was all about the spec. I really wasn't bothered about the colour (ok, so there are some colours I just wouldn't have).

This one ticked all the spec boxes and the blue was just the icing on the cake.

The wheels are a bit scabby in places and could do with a refurb.

I'm considering a darker (anthracite) type colour for them....

Dilemma, stay with silver or take the plunge and go darker????

Would appreciate your views folks....

Don't. Car wheels (IMHO) have got two properties:

1. They're round.
2. They're silver.

Lovely colour, it's just slightly more electric blue-r than Aruba.

I also see that either you (or the previous owner) have defied the brochures; and mudflaps do actually fit the S-Line... :) I've fitted them on mine too - and they fit perfectly.

Anthracite wheels would be that finishing touch in my opinion

Noted Zenerdiode, I'm so in two minds about this whole wheel thing. When it's all sparkly clean like the pic, the silver looks the nuts! Maybe darker would look a bit too Subaru.... I need to get busy on Photoshop me thinks....

The mudflaps were indeed specced by the 1st owner, wasn't sure about them at first but I think they look ok, you don't see 'em often, even on SE's.

I went the first few weeks of ownership thinking it was (a particularly bright and vibrant) Aruba Blue. It was advertised as Aruba Blue by the indie I bought if from. Then I got the birth certificate from Audi UK and it turned out to be Sepang.

I think it's time for some Photoshopping!

Nice colour Sir :notworthy. I would go for a slightly darker finish on the wheels (personally)

Must admit, I'm leaning towards a darker finish..... I just wish my winter wheels (from my old B6) would fit so i could get it done. Why did Audi change the damned centre bore size on the B8?!?!? I can't have the car off the road for a few days at the moment.... :-(

Beautiful colour. Never seen one of those before.

FWIW my vote is to keep the wheels as they are but when you get them refurbed get a nice deep satin lacquer finish over the silver.

Doh, it was simple before; silver or not silver. Now you go and suggest a nice deep satin lacquer finish! ;-)

Very nice indeed- how come no Avant this time? :aargh4: I'm back in one albeit a B6 and loving the Avus silver colour, how did you find yours?

Thanks. No Avant this time because my kids are a bit older now, so don't need to cart as much stuff around and last year I had the seats down and the car loaded to the roof all of about twice. Plus the saloon comes in about £1k cheaper spec for spec and I personally prefer the look of the saloon in the B8.
