Boot is not locking when central locking the car

Hi All,

I am a new member and sorry if my question is a repeat question in this forum.

I recently purchased an Audi A4 B5 (2000). After closing the boot when i press central lock it doesn't lock the boot the doors and everything locks/unlocks perfectly ok.

I tried to turn the key to lock it manually but it didn't turn either. I am quite stuck now as i am not able to put anything in the boot? :(

Any help will be much appreciated.

probably need a new boot lock. might be able to strip it and clean it , you will have to see.

I have just found out the central locking vaccum line is cut off between the lid opening and the pump on the right side of the boot. I am not able determine where i can connect the pipeline and how?

Any idea please? any pictures will be helpful.

Thank you very much for your help. I have connected a vacuum pipe to the boot lock and central locking unit and it started to work ;)
