I have paired my phone without any problems, I can make & receive phone calls, I can see the numbers for made & missed calls, but I cannot see the names for the numbers made and I cannot access the phone's phone book. What am I missing????

Which phone are you using? Year of the car, MMI fitted, BT version?
Are any options greyed out when you press TEL, Memory and then in that menu?

Where are your phone contacts saved? On the phone or on the sim?

My phone is a HTC Desire HD, but I have also tried my Iphone 4 and a very old Sony Ericson, same with them all, cant access the phones phonebook, my car is a 57, I think it is the MMI high and I think this is the version SW C6-HU 55.70 0835 HW C6-HU 6350 D2.0 does this help. I have tried selecting phone & sim but still no joy

Are you going through that menu I mentioned?
Press MODE on your steering wheel and go into the telephone that way.

Pressed MODE & phone book was available, but says no entries available. Pressed NAME then Import from phone book but find entry & all entries are greyed out. TEL then MEMORY call mail box & phone book are greyed out. Definitely missing some thing...

Are the contacts on your sim or phone. I believe they need to be saved to the phone

Found the answer on another forum, delete all call history, made, received & missed and then it connects, fully functional.
