2009 A6 Air Con not working

The air conditioning on my 2009 A6 doesn't seem to be working. When I push the button to activate it the red light comes on but then goes off again a couple of seconds later. Anyone know what's up? I'm driving to France in a few weeks and really would like it to be working!

Low pressure. A regas might help, if not change the low pressure sensor in the condenser.

As George says get a regas done first, failing that get a scan done and get the fault rectified.

Identical symptoms to mine which required a new sensor.

Just watch out they don't remove the front bumper to follow the wiring to check for corrosion/damage as VAS suggested on mine. All was well, but 2 hrs labour means a hefty bill.
