Seat Belt and MOT

My car is going in for it's MOT on friday and I have a question about seat belts.

My drivers belt was fuzzy along one edge for about 4in. I have tried the "lighter" trick on the section and it came out as below

The question is will this get through the MOT or should I get a second hand one and change it ?

you will maybe get an advisory, damaged but not weakened, so no need to fret about it.

Thanks no need to stress about this time then :o Will have to change it at some point. Are the seat belts all the same for the b5.5 ? or are there any differences between years ? I am looking to get a second hand one off ebay or a scrappy.

i would find out how much a dealer wants for one first, you never know, might not be worth getting a used one. no idea of any changes though.

oh fair play, wouldn't have thought they were that much new but there we go, never had to buy one.
