Depends if you want a VW stereo or an aftermarket one. You can buy removal keys from any audio store and then replace the head unit with whatever one you fancy. By far the best option - more choice, better spec than OE units and cheaper! All you'd possibly need is a facia adaptor kit that is just bits of black plastic to make the aftermarket headunit fit snuggly.
