Hi everyone,

Problem started this week when I couldn't get warm air on drivers side (Dual climate control). Scanned car and it brought up a problem with the drivers side potentiometer/ actuator (yellow one). On inspection the arm had snapped of this device but the connection to the vent flap is ok (pulled it up manually & warm air flowed). After much fettling around I managed to remove it (took about an hour). My problem is that due to access and my fat hands I cannot fit the new one! Therefore my question is what do I need to remove to get better access to fit the new one or is it a Dash out job? I so wish it was on the passenger side as access is so much better!!

Thanks for you help folks!!

Thanks for the views folks. Got it sorted:D:D (without dash removal). Just a bit more flexibility in the body needed!!

Heheh, you did well to fix it yourself. Being left-handed, I had no chance of getting the new one on. My local garage did it in half an hour for the price of a drink.
