Kenwood DNX-520VBT has stopped connecting to HTC phones

Out dnx520vbt in our Passat has suddenly stopped connecting to our HTC Desire S and One handsets last week. Despite several tries, including deleting everything and repairing the handsets itch the unit, it's not connecting.

does anyone know of any recent issues either with the phones or the head unit?

Have you updated the software on the phones recently? Can it pair with any other device?

We have the same thing every now and then. Can't be of much help I'm afraid. I have updated the unit software and not had the issue since. Well on my iphone 5 but wife's 4 has

All the software is up to date, as far as I know. The Kenwood got a system update several months ago but we've only had the problem in the last few days. not tried the wife's phone but mine still pairs with the Parrot kit in my golf OK.

do a factory reset on the headunit and delete any existing parirings then repair again
