Hi Guys,

I recentley bought my a6, previous owner changed the coolant a few days before i picked it up. My heater does not blow hot air, warm, but not hot.

Both the inlet and outlet pipes are hot going through the bulk head, so i dont think there is a blockage.

But, i cannot find the coolant bleed valve anywhere!!???

Anybody tell me where it is?

thanks

Doesn't sound like a blocked matrix then, thankfully.

Have a look at this thread for specifics - Bleeding air from coolant (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?110031-Bleeding-air-from-coolant)

Hmm, I have just undone the jubilee clips and pulled both piper off, no sign of any bleed holes.

also no flow of fluids in or out of them, even with the engine running...?

Hmm, the linked thread is for a 2.5 derv - I didn't spot that one, sorry. :o

Try this - Engine (http://allroadfaq.com/main/index.php?view=category&id=38%3Aengine&option=com_content&Itemid=67) - instead, select the 2.7T coolant flush link for the PDF

There is a tiny hole in the return pipe near the bulkhead. That's supposed to be the bleed valve
