Re my 2007 2.7 TDi Allroad, the engine management light has been intermittently on and off over the previous months but is now permanently on! The car is driving ok, but there is a even stepped rise and fall in the idle rev every 1 to 2 seconds, and this is very noticeable in the audible exhaust note change.(This rev change may also be noticeable at steady part throttle) A diagnostic scan has shown up:

P106B Throttle valve - stuck or difficult to move - Intermittent
P1580 Throttle Actuator (Bank 1) - Malfunction

The mileage is 70,600 miles

Am I looking at a Throttle Body/Swirl Flap problem

Have been reading previous posts on the subject but would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Punch your fault codes into the forum search bar, you'll find more threads hopefully with the same codes.

Thanks Chris,
Studied the fault code info as advised and decided to remove the Throttle Flap. As hoped, the plastic gears were completely stripped, so purchased replacement from German supplier via Ebay, and fitted. Checked Throttle actuator linkages etc and all seemed ok. MIL still on after initial clearing of DTCs, had to drive car about 40 miles, and then MIL did not come on after restart.
