]Updated maps to 2014. All going fine till I got into London about old Kent road area, in a bit of a jam and engine faded and stopped. Switched over to petrol and still had difficulty starting, Londoners getting upset to. Got going and maps and mmi blank, then came back. Car done this twice more, each time mmi reset, but sometimes screen blank and control buttons around g.stick made no difference and did not control things. Any way got to destnation. On way back I took disc out to elimate that. mmi kept resetting about every 5 minutes but still kept talking and no buttons worked. After about 1/2 hour mmi settled down and all was ok all way home. I put old disc back for a day or two and all ok, then put new disc back in and all ok still. ( hope that all makes sense).

So thought I would start with update.

Start with a fault code scan, not an update.

Auto scan?

The auto scan showed loads of faults that I think wrer caused when the car stopped. But I have got them and will post them later. The fibre loop was in a differant section and I first checked all the connections I could.

Erase all faults and rescan.
