i wish to install the esp sensor myself. I have found one second hand on ebay and it is part number 4f0-907-637. I am wondering if this is the correct part replacement for my esp sensor
By the way i have an audi a6 2006 2.0 tdi
and i understand that the esp sensor is under the centre console
My question is that how do i use vcds to check measuring value blocks to check the wiring between j104 and the esp sensor
and my second question is upon replacing the esp sensor with the second hand one from ebay, do i need to calibrate it and if so how do i calibrate it?
would i need to calibrate the steering sensor aswell even though i am not replacing it
please can someone help me with this

Are you having any issues? Which version of vcds are you using?

thank you for replying
I'm using the latest version of vcds i believe, 12.12
Im not having any issues when i drive the car, well i haven't noticed any but the esp fault warning comes on every time i start the car and the traction control light is always on as well and it has been doing this for the past year so i thought that i would try to fix it.. i just need help on how to fix it

I went o holiday and then when i came back, the cars brakes had like frozen so after i eventually got them free by trying to move the car back and forward and revving the car, the cars brakes got free but since then the esp fault warning has been occurring every time i start the car

Had something similar on the Jag which led to an ABS/ESP fault, wasn't any sensor but the ABS ECU itself which needed to be reworked (£150 with a lifetime warranty) at a place in Wales.

Naturally always go with the cheapest option to fix which may be the sensor, or not.

Am assuming you cleared the DTC's?

Look at that. I would advise buying new parts from Audi and getting a specialist to do the work.

i have looked at that
and that is why i am asking what measuring blocks i need to check and how to check them
