Hi all
i am in the process of negotiating the purchase of an Audi A6 SE (new body shape), registered July 2011 (C7). I have read that it's possible to view album cover art (cover flow?) whilst playing music via the AMI, using a red grommet cable (lead is part no. 4F0 051 510 R). However, the dealer has connected an iPod and informed me that there is no music or pictures with the red cable. The normal blue AMI lead works fine without artwork.
The MMI SW version is RMC_EU_P10396. I have asked the dealer to update the SD nav to latest maps, and he will see if this forces an update to the MMI and results in the album artwork problem being fixed!
I've read on some other posts that solving this problem could depend on the iPod used, the MMI software installed and require a possible upgrade, or even the car itself. Could someone please share any thoughts and perhaps how I can get this fixed before I pick up the car from dealer in 2 weeks?
